Laser tattoo removal involves using a specialized laser to break up the ink pigment in the dermis where the tattoo ink is located. At Cayce Medical Spa, we use the Astanza Trinity laser to safely perform full-spectrum laser tattoo removal on all skin types. More effective than other devices, the Astanza Trinity laser combines Q-switched Nd:YAG and ruby technology, delivering extremely short, high-energy pulses to shatter pigment. The ink then breaks down into smaller particles that can be naturally flushed out by the body’s immune system. Full removal typically requires 10 to 12 sessions, with each session spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.

To enhance treatment results, some patients add a PFD patch. A PFD patch absorbs into the skin to clear the white “frosting” that occurs after a laser pass, allowing your technician to safely perform multiple laser treatments in a single session. Although results vary, many patients find that using a PFD patch can speed up the fading process, resulting in fewer treatments.
