Lashes & Microblading
At Cayce Medical Spa in Columbia, MO, we offer a range of cosmetic treatments designed to help you look and feel your best. One of our most popular services for enhancing natural beauty is microblading, a low-maintenance solution that creates fuller, more defined brows with long-lasting results. For those looking to enhance their lashes, we also offer Latisse—an effective option for achieving longer, fuller lashes over time.
LATISSE®
Not enough lashes? LATISSE® grows lashes longer, fuller and darker. You'll first begin to see changes in length. Then, gradually, you'll notice more thickness and darkness in your lashes. If you're satisfied with your results by week 8, don't stop there. Stick with the treatment. After week 16, you'll see the full effect of LATISSE®
Upneeq
Low-lying lids can affect the way you look and see things. Upneeq is the only FDA-approved prescription eyedrop for acquired ptosis (low-lying lids) that lifts your upper eyelids to open your eyes.
Microblading
What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique in which pigment is added to the skin to give the appearance of darker, fuller eyebrows. The microblading strokes are so fine that microbladed eyebrows look incredibly natural and compliment your face shape.
What does the microblading procedure look like?
The procedure starts with a consultation. One of our highly trained staff will go over the look you are wanting and put together your customized plan. After your consultation, the treatment can begin. Our licensed estheticians will start by numbing the treatment area and mapping out the eyebrows according to your natural and desired arch and thickness.
Once the brows are numb, and the size, pigment, and shape of the eyebrows are agreed upon, the microblading begins. This step involves using an angled blade to manually deposit pigment into the brows to mimic hairlike strokes and shading. The entire microblading procedure takes about 2-3 hours for the first treatment but will vary per patient. Touch-up sessions can take anywhere from 60-120 minutes. Most patients feel very little pain.
Your newly microbladed eyebrows will take about 30 days to fully heal, and you will be sent home with aftercare instructions. We typically recommend that clients schedule a second session between 4 and 6 weeks for a perfecting session and to add more fullness if desired. Depending on how well you care for your new eyebrows, microblading can last 18 months or longer.
